Plemont Bay
If we had to name our favourite beach in Jersey, Plemont Bay would be right up there.
A wide, sandy bay with beautiful, clean, calm waters and sheltered by high cliffs with the island’s largest cave, including one cave with a waterfall shower!
You should visit only at low tide, and please keep in mind that the stairs are steep and the beach is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.
FACILITIES
Toilets are at the top of the stairs next to the cafe: some car parking spaces and lifeguards in the summer months.
GETTING TO PLEMONT BAY
There is some car parking at the top of the bay. Buses from town run to the car park at the top of the cliffs. One option is to get a bus to Plemont, enjoy a swim in the bay, and follow the cliff path to L’Etacq on St Ouen’s Bay. The views of Plemont Bay and the adjoining coastline are spectacular, and the buses from L’Etacq are more regular.
WHERE TO EAT
The only place to eat is Plemont Bay Cafe, which is fortunately very good and has a fantastic view of the bay below.
